ChatGPT-Powered Search Engine: Bing Chat

Microsoft already had a major stake in OpenAI and planned to leverage AI to improve Bing search to give strong competition to its rival—Google.

On February 7, 2023, the company announced its re-inventing the Bing search with AI. Bing adds a new tab for the Chat feature, which offers the search results in a conversational manner.

It works similarly to ChatGPT but is powered by real-time data from the websites present in the Bing Index.

This ChatGPT + Bing Index combined AI model is named Prometheus.

It is one of its kind AI model that merges search with chat.
