Magento 2: Export Products into CSV (Step-by-step Method)
Exporting Magento 2 products to CSV is a good way to get the products’ data in an easy-to-read and transfer format.
Let’s say you want to get your store’s product information into a spreadsheet or transfer the products to another platform. You can export Magento 2 product data from the admin panel into CSV.
In this micro-post, we’ll learn how to export products from Magento 2.
How to Export Products From Magento 2?
Magento 2 (Adobe Commerce) allows users to import or export data into CSV files. It makes it easy for merchants to migrate data to and from the platform. In Magento 2, you can export products to CSV in just a few steps from the admin panel.
Log into your Magento 2 admin, and go to System > Data Transfer > Export.
The Magento 2 export data screen will be displayed.
In the entity type, select “Products” and select “CSV” as the export file format.
Tick the “Fields Enclosure” option to enclose special characters in double quotes.
Now, in the Entity Attribution, you can apply attribute-wise filters to export products from Magento 2. You can also choose to exclude certain products matching filters.
Once you’re done with products filtering and selection, click the “Continue” button at the bottom to export products from Magento 2.
A success message like the one shown below will be displayed.
The Magento 2 products export will be done during the next cron job.
By default, all exported files are in the <Magento-root-directory>/var/export folder.
And if you’re a deeloper and want to export Magento 2 products programmatically, you can do it by utilizing Magento’s Bootstrap framework.
