Adobe launched the beta2 version of the (Adobe Commerce) Magento Open Source 2.4.7 on Oct 10, 2023. It brings 140 quality fixes and improvements in the Magento 2 core code, including:

Magento 2.4.7 Release – Everything You Need to Know
We’re thrilled for the upcoming (Adobe Commerce) Magento Open Source 2.4.7 release. Here is what Adobe has to offer in the latest Magento version:
Security enhancements
Magento (Adobe Commerce) is now more secure than ever. The latest version introduces 13 security fixes and improvements.
- It introduces fixes to security vulnerabilities as listed in the security bulletin APSB23-35. These include some of the most critical vulnerabilities including cross-site scripting and XML Injection.
- The default behavior of the existing REST endpoint has been changed.
- Merchants can now limit the rate for the payment information transmitted through REST or GraphQL APIs.
- Risk associated with {BASE-URL}/page_cache/block/esi HTTP endpoint has been fixed.
Platform enhancements
Adobe has worked on enhancing the platform with the latest security best practices.
The Magento 2.4.7-beta1 & beta2 introduces support for:
- Many components upgraded to their latest versions.
- Import REST API now supports JSON format.
- Composer 2.5.x. (Composer 2.2.x support remains)
- Varnish Cache 7.3.
- RabbitMQ 3.11
The release also upgrades the outdated libraries to the latest version, including the moment.js, jQuery UI, and jQuery libraries.
GraphQL
- GraphQL now supports order cancellation.
- The Magento 2.4.7 release introduces enhanced caching and support for custom attributes.
- It also introduces enhanced GraphQL caching capabilities with improved page load speed.
- The parser method is only called once, which was called three times earlier, which results in better performance.
Page Builder & PWA Studio
- Magento 2.4.7 introduces support for Page Builder v.1.7.4 and PWA Studio v.13.2.x.
- The PWA Studio has been enhanced for accessibility along with many bug fixes.
Major Issues Fixed in Magento 2.4.7
- MySQL memory limit-reached error during Magento upgrade command has been fixed.
- Issues during Magento database backup have been fixed.
- Duplicate SKUs issue during bundle products import has been fixed.
- Page caching issues for the parent products have been fixed.
- Issues with the guest API request for shipping information have been fixed.
- Product thumbnail image issues in the product stock alert mails have been fixed.
- The price-drop notifications now work as expected.
- Product image gallery now supports GIF images as expected.
- Catalog rules now work as expected in the multi-website environment.
- Translation support for the stock and price alert emails.
- Issues related to Google reCAPTCHA in the checkout workflow have been fixed.
