How to Disable Checkout in Magento 2
There are times when your E-commerce store is under maintenance or out for the service. Altogether shutting down the store in such case may adversely affect your lifetime of SEO efforts.
Starting from scratch can be hard. The alternate solution is to disable checkout or shipping or add to cart button in the store. You can hide price and let customers opt for the “call for price” option.

Steps to Disable Checkout in Magento 2:
- Login to Magento 2 admin panel
- Navigate to Stores > Settings > Configuration
- Under Sales, select Checkout
- Expand Checkout Options section
- Set No in the Enable Onepage Checkout field to disable the checkout for existing customers.
- Click the Save Config button
