How to Change Magento 2 Admin Session Time
There are several ways to ease the administration for Magento 2 store admins and here, I will provide you with one of the ways such as changing the admin startup page in Magento 2.
Imagine yourself as a Magento 2 store admin working for the last 25 minutes configuring an extension only to find out that you’ve been logged out when you hit the save button.
Annoyed?
The default Magento 2 admin session time out is set to 900 seconds, i.e., 15 minutes for the security purpose. However, this may lead to such frustrating moments.
To avoid them, here’s the solution to change Magento 2 admin session time which allows to reset the session time out as per your working pattern.
Steps to Change Magento 2 Admin Session Time:
- Login to admin panel
- Go to Stores > Configuration
- Select “Admin” under “Advanced”
- Expand “Security“
- Set Admin Session Lifetime (seconds)
- Save
That’s it.
Any doubts about this method can be mentioned in the Comments section below. I’d be happy to help.
Please share the tutorial via social media with Magento 2 store admins and save them from annoying moments!
Thanks.
