Clarity by Microsoft is a free and easy-to-use platform. If you are just starting up with MS Clarity, you need to sign up. Use the following steps to setup Microsoft Clarity on your website:
Sign Up for Clarity
- Move to https://clarity.microsoft.com/ and then, sign up using any of the log in methods provided on the screen.
- After signing up, click on the “Add New Project” button on the top left corner, enter project name & website URL, select the site category, and submit the information.
- To start using Clarity, you need to insert the tracking code in your website. Each website that you add to your Clarity account requires an unique tracking code to install. You can get the Clarity tracking code from the Settings > Setup.
- Paste the Microsoft Clarity code in the <head> section of your website. You can also add the same script on multiple subdomains of your website.
Google Analytics Integration with Microsoft Clarity
- To integrate Google Analytics with Microsoft Clarity, you need to click on “Get Started” and can get your project connected. Provide the access permissions and click on ‘Continue’.
- Navigate to Setup > Settings. Select the project that you want to integrate with your Google Analytics account. And, then choose the website that you are willing to connect.
- After saving, the project gets connected to your Google Analytics account.
- To delete the project, click on delete this project from Google Analytics. Confirm Disconnect on the pop-up window.
