How to enable “notify me when back in stock” for Magento 2

If a customer has ever abandoned your online store because the product they want isn’t available or if you’ve ever been forced to sell outdated products for a small percentage of what they originally cost, its a sign of poor stock management!

Steps to enable “Notify me when back in stock” for Magento 2:

1. Enable Out of stock products display in frontend

   1. Navigate to Stores > Configuration > Catalog > Inventory.
   2. In Stock Options, set “Display Out of Stock Products” to YES

2. Enable notification when the product is back in stock

   1. Navigate to Stores > Configuration > Catalog.
   2. In Product Alerts, set Allow Alert When Product Comes Back in Stock to YES

3. Set the frequency to send alert Emails

   1. Navigate to Stores > Configuration > Catalog .
   2. In Product Alerts Run Settings, select the Frequency from the drop-down menu and set the Start Time to send the notification Emails.
