How to Install MO-14 Patch by Mage-One in Magento

Magento has ended the support for Magento 1 on June 30, 2020.

It is highly recommended to take a database backup before the installation process. You can use a file versioning software like Git.

Also, first of all, install the MO-14 patch in the staging environment. Once tested, the changes can be installed live with the help of the versioning software.

The MO-14 patch can be applied locally or in the staging environment, then committed and pushed normally.

Now, follow these steps:

1. Upload the local file into the <Magento_root> on the server using SFTP, SSH or your normal transport method.
2. Verify if the file is in the correct directory or not.
3. Run the below commands according to the patch extension in the command line interface:
   $ patch -p1 < /path/to/file
4. Refresh cache by logging in to the admin panel and navigate to System > Cache Management for the changes to be reflected in the user interface. If required, renew the indices.

If you want to revert the patch, run this command:  $ patch -R -p1 < /path/to/file
