With Magento 2 limit order quantity per category, each customer has to fulfill the conditions set by the admin for a minimum or maximum quantity from the category for successful checkout. Otherwise, a notification message is displayed as an error, restricting them to check out.
The Magento 2 Min/Max Order Quantity per Category extension displays the category name in the cart. If the product belongs to multiple categories, all of them is displayed regardless of from which category it was added to the cart.

Features of Magento 2 Limit Quantity Per Category Extension
Admin can Set Minimum/Maximum
Set a minimum and maximum quantity order quantity for products in a category for every customer group to checkout successfully.
